Ready to leave the lab?
We’re proud of the founders we back — the ones who dig out the hard problems and stay with them long enough to matter.

Jakob is Founder & Managing Partner of PSV Hafnium. With more than 25 years in startup, venture and private equity, with numerous exits behind him. He has also done several angel investments and held countless board positions in tech and deep tech companies. Through his experience Jakob has just the right toolbox to help founders in deep tech thrive and flourish.

Anders is Founder & Managing Partner of PSV Hafnium. Having led investments in more than 30 startups during his more than 8 years in venture capital, founders are well-off with him by their side. His experience, advice and guidance are deeply rooted in the venture journey from lab to market. With a background both in management consulting and on the industry side, he brings in an understanding of how deep tech clients think and what their commercial needs are.As much as Anders enjoy navigating the rocky roads of the startup journey, he intentionally seeks the balance by prioritizing a lifestyle with time for wellness and mindfulness, whether it’s in the gym, with his family or in a good book – and yes those books are very often touching on the big questions of life, leadership or startup.

Marianne is the Founder & Managing Partner of PSV Hafnium. She is an engineer with a profound passion for deep tech and company building. With over 20 years of experience, Marianne has traversed roles in R&D, management consulting, venture building, impact funding, and early-stage investing, both as a venture capitalist and a business angel. Her career has seen her in close collaboration with startups, serving in investor and board positions. Furthermore, she has firsthand experience as the CEO and founder of a tech startup, navigating the challenging yet rewarding startup landscape. Marianne's expertise merges technical acumen with strategic foresight, emphasizing both commercial success and impactful outcomes.

Maria is Managing Partner of PSV Hafnium. Her skillset can be likened to a Swiss knife, as she combines a wide range of technical and commercial expertise. Maria has always been passionate about science and technology, leading her to a PhD in physics at CERN, where she played an active role in the discovery of the Higgs particle. As her career progressed, she became increasingly aware of climate challenges, prompting her to join BCG for green transformation initiatives. Later, at Ørsted, she led innovation teams and managed their venture arm, working closely with startups to develop sustainable energy solutions. Now at PSV Hafnium, Maria is committed to working closely with founders on technology development that will positively impact our planet.Outside of work, Maria enjoys exploring Copenhagen’s cultural scene while balancing city life with her family and a home filled with pets, science fiction and literature.

Susanne is Venture partner of PSV Hafnium. She is the fund’s Greentech and Biosolutions expert, bringing +20 years of experience from her roles as Vice President at Novozymes (now Novonesis), Ørsted (offshore wind) and before that as Management Consulting at IBM, PA Consulting Group, and partner at Bain. Within the Green transition and Biosolutions Susanne has especially specialized in commercial growth and P&L leadership. With her current roles as CCO, Chairperson and Advisor to numerous startups, Susanne brings her deep industry and startup expertise into play. Just like she brings high energy, vision, and inspiration to everyone she works with.

Søren is Operations Partner at PSV Hafnium and brings what feels like twice a lifetime of experience in venture capital to the team. He has been GP in several funds and today serves as board member and business angel in a range of deep tech and AI/ML startups. He spends much of his time – both professionally and for fun – exploring the latest mega trends and the impact of emerging technologies. Through his personal holding company, he also invests as a business angel in fintech, AI/ML and deep tech startups (yes, even a 5th generation nuclear startup). A few fun facts: his first job was as a “rocket scientist” (well, engineer), he’s been a semi-pro online gamer, and he has 34 first cousins.

Frederik is the kind of person who genuinely enjoys digging deep into the unknown. He studies Physics at the Niels Bohr Institute, and when he’s not at uni, his idea of winding down is binge-watching nerdy videos about physics and mathematical phenomena. For Frederik, curiosity doesn’t switch off, it just finds a new rabbit hole.
He’s joining the PSV Hafnium team as a Venture Analyst, where he’ll support deal sourcing efforts in the hunt for cases that truly move things forward. With a sharp analytical mindset, a deep understanding of technology, and natural sciences, Frederik brings both intellectual rigor and an infectious can-do energy to the team.
He studies physics because he sees it as a way to learn the fundamental principles behind everything. As he puts it, physicists make the first discoveries; engineers turn them into something tangible. And what fascinates Frederik is the step beyond - how venture can help those ideas leave the lab, scale, and become solutions that improve everyday life.
Outside of his studies and the office, Frederik has no shortage of passions. Summers are spent surfing in Biarritz with his siblings, the rest of the year is divided between golfing with his granddad or playing tennis with his dad. Most recently, he’s also taken his 13-year-long love for basketball one step further by launching his own team with his closest friends.
Frederik brings analytical depth with hands-on efforts - reading the court, setting up the play, and knowing exactly when to take the shot.
We invest in early-stage companies that improve human livelihoods and planetary welfare, guided by impact and ethics.
